Great Value
I don't understand why this people don't like this skimmer. For the money, it is great. Yes, the pump is a little loud, but if you have a fresh water tank you are use to this "pump" noise. The pump started working right way, within 6 hours of hooking it up. Instructions would have been nice. Just adjust the air flow and the hieght of the skimmer to get the correct skimming. Very happy with this purchase.

JBJ 28 Gal Protien Skimmer
Skimmer works great in the JBJ 28 Gallon Nano Cube. Pump is very noisy but works well. I'll probably replace pump down the road.

great skimmer for nano
easy to install with no instructions. Started skimming within 24 hrs. Easy maintenance. Bought another skimmer, did not fit. This one is perfect.

Great Product
Well designed and a good quality product. It started producing skim on my JBJ 28 the first day.

JBJ 28G Nano Cube Protein Skim
Pump is noisy, but does produce a lot of air flow. On its lowest setting it still produces enough foam. I may replace with a less noisy pump later. The collection cup is too big for the back. I had to cut out a large section of the plastic edging from the tank to make it fit. Even after this, I still have to remove the cup in order to open the canopy. Also, it makes it difficult to remove the filter cartridge from the middle section of the tank. But the skimmer is working as advertised, three stars for that.

NanoCube Protein Skimmer
I have had it up and running for a few days now and its still in its break in period. It appears to be functioning well with good aeration and plenty of brown gunk trapped in the collection bin. I like the whole Nano cube setup. Very exciting and fun.

works, but will get replaced
I bought my NanoCube 28 HQI and got this protein skimmer for free with my order. The skimmer works ok but the pump is loud and after about 2 months the pump's air flow started getting weaker and made a whistling noise which only made the pump that much more obnoxious. I ended up replacing the pump with a Tetra 60G 2 outlet whisper pump. I can'e even hear the pump now. But still the skimmer could be better. My tank has a full load with a FOWLR setup and has a pretty noticable amount of particulate matter that the skimmer just won't collect anymore. And mine was free, I wouldn't think about paying 50 bucks for it. save yourself the money and spend that 50 bucks on a venturi nano skimmer.

Works Great
I have had the skimmer running for 4 days now on a 10 hour cycle at night. It is working perfectly on my 28 gal. JBJ Nano. It will take a while for the skimmer to break in so don't be frustrated. To raise light cover just remove the skimmer cup, my hood goes all the way up with it removed. I would suggest you use a air valve unit ($2.00 from local pet store) for the air lines, the t-valve that comes with it pinches the output lines a bit.

Working great
Simple to set up. The air tubing that came with it is junk- buy new tubing. Once I added the new tube and adjusted the airflow it is working well. No directions included at all with the product which would be nice to have for folks not familiar with skimmers and adjusting the airflow for optimal production.

Good Choice
I recently bought a Nano Cube 28G CF Quad, and before buying a more advance venturi protein skimmer, i wanted to try with this original done specialy for this aquarium even though i have read some comments about it, and when i istalled it on in the Nano Cube, and adjusted it, it's been working perfectly, so i think it's not neccesary buy or spend more money when this Protein Skimmer does work enough to this small aquarium, of course you can find more advance and efficient protein skimmer , but just for this Nano Cube it works great.
