The JBJ Arctica Titanium series aquarium chillers use some of the most advanced technological advancements in chiller design. The custom-engineered JBJ titanium coil maximizes contact for fast temperature pull-down while increasing chilling efficiency. This means the most cooling capacity per amp, which reduces energy costs.
The Arctica Titanium 1/3HP chiller is rated for a maximum aquarium size of 340 gallons. The easiest way to determine which chiller size is best for you is by using JBJ’s chiller calculator.
The corrosion-resistant condenser is located on the front side of the chiller. This configuration draws cool air from the front and exhausts the warm air out of the back. Be sure to leave enough room for the hot air to circulate away from the coils. The built-in thermostat and digital controller will automatically maintain the desired set temperature within +/-1 degree Fahrenheit.
The controller has a bright light LED that can be read day or night. The anti-freezing system prevents the chiller from accidental freeze-ups and damage. The simple two-button control pad is easy to use.
Hoses connect to the chiller by 1/2", 5/8" or 3/4" barbed fittings. You will need to supply a separate water pump to circulate the water from the aquarium and into the chiller. The recommended water pump should be rated at 480-2400 gallons per hour.
JBJ Arctica chillers are UL-listed and have a two-year warranty.

No, I would not recommend this.
Good except no heater.
Pros: Quiet. Simple up operate.
Cons: NO HEATER (or even an option to integrate one)!!! Therefore, you have to play around with every single individual heater and your chiller to make make sure that they're not competing with each other and grossly wasting your electricity.
When you have something like this, how much harder would have been to include the heater in the product? Instead, the solution is that you have to balance multiple competing products with individual thermostats, so they're not working against each other, when the best solution is to have your temperature control in a single device, being the chiller managing the heating and chilling, just like my other chiller does. Shame on me for not doing the research, but imagine my surprise when I hooked it all up and realized that this element was missing. So essentially I have a $1,000 air conditioner fitted with a heat exchanger instead of a fan, that cost 50% more than an AC that could cool my entire house. With no other features, this is a poor value.

Yes, I would recommend this.
Pros: 2 year warranty, solid build with titanium heat exchanger.
Cons: a bit expensive and I wish there was a filter in the intake grill (but that is easily remedied).
i have a smaller 1/10 hp current chiller that is too small for my 120. So, I decided to replace it with the JBJ 1/3 hp chiller. I oversized the chiller for added redundancy incase I need it. Overall, well built chiller.
