Great accessory

Pros: Hose length was plenty for me.

Cons: Nothing

Bought this chiller at the same time. Great purchase, plenty length of hose. Was able to hook hose to canistor filter output then to chiller than back to tank. Well worth it, ease of hookup was great.

Ok

This kit does not really work on the red sea max 250 with the accessory kit. Took some modifications. Not very good for beginners.

Chiller install kit

Works as advertised with caveats. Return and Supply hard lines are small and really restrict flow. Hoses are flimsy an folds over at the chiller attachment port restricting flow. The hard return line is too small to fit in the return port on my nano cube 28dx. Had to add hose pieces to the end in order for the return line to fully flow into the display portion of the tank. Probably could have saved some money buying larger sprinkler system elbows and firmer hoses from the hardware store for more flow.

JBJ Nano Installation Kit

Purchased this for my 24 gal nano cube but the tubes did not fit. It was too short and made out of cheap material. The only good thing was the hose. Since it was dark which I wanted. So I paid for the hose which cost a lot more than I would of paid if I purchased separately.

Works fine, could be better

The product made installation of my JBJ nano chiller on my 6 gal nano cube fairly easy. Unfortunately the hood of the 6 gal nano has to be modified to accommodate the solid hoses running out the back. The tubing was fine and came in appropriate lengths, but it was a little easy to collapse if turning a corner. The only thing I would have liked added would have been hose clamps, I just used plastic zip ties I found in my kitchen,

nice try but not adequate

Needs clamps as the 1/2" clamps on MD are too big (had to use a rubber band to make up the difference). Not sure if the problem is with the clamp or the tubing. I think it might be the tubing, 1/2"OD as opposed to 1/2"ID. No adjustable head for return and no strainers for protecting the inlet. Tubing is too soft and collapses a bit when trying to route it, which reduces effective water flow. Also smells like vinyl and if you can smell it then the chemicals are leaching into the water. Vinyl/PVC is very toxic. I'm replacing it with clear tubing (still vinyl but hopefully a better quality) and a flexible Loc-line outlet. We'll see if that works.
