The Mag-Float’s Powerful rare earth neodymium magnets enable the easy removal of algae. By dragging the Mag-Float on the outside of the tank, the Mag-Float on the other side of the glass/acrylic surface follows, scraping off the algae with the pad. Most impressively, you will no longer get wet cleaning off the algae from your glass/acrylic aquarium. It will simply float up allowing easy retrieval. Therefore, with its unique floating feature allows easy and efficient movement around the corners of fish tanks, and you will no longer knock over decorations, damage corals and invertebrates. The cleaning pad remains free of sand or gravel, thus preventing scratching. The ABS plastic, injected molded and toxic free, allows the Mag-Float to be left attached to your aquarium surface at all times. This makes it convenient, and practical for the next clean up job.

Floats up to top for easy pickup. No more reaching your hand into the tank to retrieve. Strong enough to go around corners of the tank. Glass tanks only.

Manufacturer information

Mag-Float Aquarium Supplies
Mag-Float is owned by Gulfstream Tropical Aquarium, a South Florida business established in 1964. Originally the company`s focus was distributing live brine shrimp, ghost shrimp, blackworms, frozen fish food, live phytoplankton, live feeders freshwater fish and aquatic plants. The company`s signature product line, patented Mag-Float floating magnet aquarium cleaners, were named the most innovative invention in the aquatic industry in 2000. The following year the company began distributing their products nationally and internationally. More recently the company unveiled a line of fresh and saltwater aquarium water conditioners, treatments and buffers under the moniker Mag-Float Labs and introduced the Mag-Flip, a magnet aquarium cleaner with a scraper for more stubborn algae.

Worked great

Pros: Works as advertised

Cons: Wish the magnet was even stronger, but it's good

My second one, works great , no scratches to my acrylic tank.

350 gallon float not too great

Wrong item to review listed. I ordered a 360A mag float for acrylic aquariums up to 350 gallons. The Mag float does not stay very well attached to inside scrapper when doing just minor scrapping of acrylic. The inside float just comes off and floats away, had to retrieve many times just to clean a 40 X 40 inch side of aquarium and there was no build up of algea, it's a new tank just getting started

Just O.K.

Mag-Float, Great concept, lacks quality! Poorly constructed, cleaning pad not glued on straight, glue exceeding edges.

Dry again!

It takes a little more work than I expected but finally gets the job done and it sure beats sticking my arms in the water all the time.
