A chloramine-removal cartridge will remove chloramines and ensure your aquarium receive the purest water possible.

* if you are unsure about chloramine-use in your water, you can request for further information from your local city hall or water treatment center.

Fits standard 10-inch cartridges: such as AquaFX, AquaticLife, Marine Depot, Kent Marine, Seachem and SpectraPure.

Manufacturer information

Marine Depot was started in 1998 by a self-professed reef geek and pre-med student Ken Wong. Ken envisioned a one-stop shop where customers could find everything they needed, from technical product specifications, reef aquarium information, expert advice on the hobby and friendly one-on-one customer support. Having grown from a one-man crew to being one of the world’s largest suppliers of reef and marine aquarium products, this very core philosophy still lives strong in the Marine Depot culture 20 years later.

It's Decent

Pros: Price, Quality

Cons: Wish it lasted longer

I bought one of these to replace my orginal marine depot Kleenwater RO/DI system. I works very well but It didn't last as long as I thought it would. So I went with a different brand.

It Seems to Work

Chloramines are tough critters to chase. Tough to test and tough to remove. This filter appears to be working great, at least free and total chlorine both test zero after filtration.

Removes chlomines but clogs up

I use 2 of these in series in an RODI unit, with a 1 micron pre-filter in front of it. While this combination removes chlorine and chloramines (based on tablet style water test) they can clog up very fast (1 to 2 weeks). I'm not sure how to combat this, you need these to remove the chloramines (5 micron carbon filters won't do it) but be forewarned - you need good pre-filters. Maybe a pair of pre-filters in series would help. And if anything happens to the water supply (local construction projects, flushing lines, etc) then the pre-filters will get clogged really fast and then so will these.
