Manufacturer information

Marine Depot was started in 1998 by a self-professed reef geek and pre-med student Ken Wong. Ken envisioned a one-stop shop where customers could find everything they needed, from technical product specifications, reef aquarium information, expert advice on the hobby and friendly one-on-one customer support. Having grown from a one-man crew to being one of the world’s largest suppliers of reef and marine aquarium products, this very core philosophy still lives strong in the Marine Depot culture 20 years later.

Very reliable

Pros: Very reliable

Cons: Not enough adjustment to keep a high enough water level

I ordered this for my standard 29g reef tank and it works flawlessly. Very easy to set up and never loses syphon. I turn off flow daily for feeding and it starts right back up every time. I can truly say I have no worries about flooding my floor due to failure.

These are great.

Pros: Easy to install and no leaks

Cons: Kinda tall for a 10/20long

These are the same if not better quality than the more expensive ones from other brands. No leaks and haven’t given me any problems. Fairly quiet too. I own 8 of these now and will probably buy more.

Nano overflow

I bought this for a ten gallon nano I put together with a 5.5 gallon sump/ fuge. It's been running strong for just over 8 years. The only time I've had an issue is when I let algae grow up in the U tube. It never breaks siphon unless I cause it. It's never not started when the return pump is energized.

Perfect Starter Overflow

Pros: Price, Size of Nano

Cons: No instructions

I recently purchased the nano overflow box. So far its worked perfect for my DIY sump I did. The only reason I did not give it a 5 was due to lack of instructions and I did not have any tubing included to suck out the air on the bend. Other then that it has been a positive experience!

Almost perfect

Pros: Solid, well built, work good

Cons: Leaky bulkhead

I never used this and had to return it due to me getting the wrong size. I wound up ordering a 300 and 800 for my 40G and 95G. Theyre all built solid and are very nice. Theyre almost perfect with one exception. The bulkhead. NO MATTER what I did, the bulkhead leaked between the nut and threads. No matter how gently snug or tightened beyond belief it was. Wound up just siliconing both my 300 and 800 bulkheads. They work great though.
