Dan is the man! Our go-to guy here at the office with his vast experience in reef keeping and expertise in products. Being someone that loves to break things then put them back together, Dan is on a whole other level when it comes to reef nerdiness. In addition to reef keeping, Dan loves to karaoke for stress relief and will do anything for Japanese Shabu Shabu.
Jeff's goal at Marine Depot is making customers happy. Growing up, his family always kept aquariums, so joining the company in 2007 seemed like an ideal fit. He has been working in ecommerce for 15 years and has held various positions in customer service, web development, and marketing at several IR Top 500 companies. He loves writing, design, typography, and advertising. He is a husband and father of two and enjoys sci-fi, podcasts, and mountain biking. He has a terrier mix named Benji who likes riding shotgun and a 38-gallon mixed reef his wife thinks he spends too much time staring at.

Manny Fresco LOVES animals! In addition to three reef aquariums—50, 20, and 6-gallons, respectively—his extended family includes a 10-year-old Shih-Tsu, a two-year-old Can Corso, and a Sulcata Tortoise name Popeye. A friend introduced Manny to reef keeping and he's been doing it ever since. He considers himself an avid zoanthid collector and a nice guy with a bad poker face. Manny feels fortunate that his career path and favorite hobby conveniently converged three years ago when he joined the company.

Keeping aquariums has been a passion for Robert for about 19 years and the last 10 of those years he has been with Marine Depot. Growing and photographing corals brings him the most pleasure these days but his experience with all aspects of aquarium husbandry are what really make him a valuable member of the team. When he is not playing with the latest fish tank gear, designing cool T-shirts or making videos for Marine Depot, you can usually find him spending time with family. He is a fun-loving father and enjoys sport fishing, gardening, BBQing meats, playing vinyl records… oh, and of course, long walks on the beach.
Wayland's first job was in a restaurant kitchen where he learned to make whipped cream from scratch. He joined Marine Depot in 2000 after working in finance for several years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from University of California Los Angeles and Master of Arts from Reformed Theological Seminary. When he isn't tinkering with his 100-gallon reef aquarium, he enjoys shooting his children with an impressive arsenal of Nerf guns. Ever the multitasker, Wayland's favorite marine animal is the octopus as he longs for eight arms of his own to get things done faster.
Christian recently moved to Southern California from Costa Rica, leaving behind a decked-out 100-gallon mix-reef, just to work for Marine Depot! That’s what we like to tell ourselves, anyway. Outside of work, Christian enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his dogs (a Chihuahua and two terriers), rocking out on his bass guitar and tending to his new 29-gallon reef aquarium.
Johanna became smitten with aquariums on her birthday six years ago. She was given three goldfish: Espresso, Java Chip, and Latte. Her interest in aquariums quickly blossomed and soon she was caring for 60 and 100-gallon tanks. Johanna finds the meticulous husbandry and upkeep of a reef tank very relaxing. Aside from the aquarium hobby, she also enjoys singing, playing guitar, reading, and watching football.
Trevor joined our customer support team 10 years ago to help us respond to customer questions by phone and email. With aquariums all around the office, it didn't take long before he was hooked on the hobby himself. He started with a 3-gallon pico which quickly snowballed into a full blown 58-gallon reef tank. In his current role, Trevor supplies retail stores and maintenance professionals around the world with the best products and advice to help their clients build their dream tanks.
It was love at first sight for John! After seeing a friend's aquarium 10 years ago, John knew that reefing was going to be a big part of his life. His degree in Business and Marketing has helped him excel at his job. John also has several unique hobbies including capoeira, Tahitian Drumming, art & illustration and chilling with Koa, his French Bulldog.
What started as a simple little fish tank for the kids turned into a full-blown reef obsession for himself. Luis loves to watch his 55-gallon reef tank grow and thrive. His favorite fish is the Green Mandarin Dragonet, whose colors and patterns are simply out of this world.
As with many of our staff, Ivan loves nature and animals! His pets include three dogs, a cat, a Chinese Gecko and all the critters in his 3-gallon picotope. Having worked at a local pet store for several years, Ivan has lots of experience caring for different animals and helping the people that keep them as pets. He is friendly, reliable, and truly enjoys helping other hobbyists solve problems and find solutions to achieve healthy, beautiful aquariums.
Alex did not have a tank at home when he joined the company, so we gave him a 10-gallon all-in-one so he could understand why we are so passionate about aquariums. He recently attended his first Reef-A-Palooza and is growing out frags he got at the show and from other Marine Depot staff. He has a small pair of Wyoming White Clownfish and a real keen eye for aquascaping. When we’re not forcing him to work overtime at home, he enjoys working on cars, computers, and his new nano reef.
Keith’s love for aquatic animals started when he was just a child. Has been involved in the aquarium hobby now for over 30 years! He has been part of the Marine Depot family since 2003. Keith has two reef aquariums and two freshwater aquariums ranging in size from 90 to four gallons. In the summertime, he is chasing birdies and eagles on the golf course. In the wintertime, he is at Marine Depot helping fellow hobbyists create better aquariums.
