The expression "good things come in small packages" is a perfectly apt description of a nano aquarium. A nano aquarium is just the same as a regular aquarium, only smaller!
Aquariums up to 40 gallons are typically classified as nano aquariums, although tanks in the 1 to 10 gallon range are also sometimes referred to as pico aquariums.
