Needle Valve For CO2 Regulator

Needle Valve For CO2 Regulator

$27.95 $13.98Save: $13.97 (50%)

Item #: CO3151

In Stock

This Needle Valve is most suitable for Aquarium use.

  • Can provide down to 10 bubbles of CO2 / minute consistently (at 0 pressure)
  • Fits most CO2 Regulator Kits on the market
  • Inlet - Male Threaded NPT 1/8" (measures 1/4" OD physically)
  • Outlet - Hose Barb 1/8" (or 4/6 mm ID/OD tubing)
  • This is the valve supplied with our Econo CO2 regulators.

NOTE: CO2 gas is extremely compressible, and therefore expandable, relative to other gases. CO2 gas is typically stored under very high pressure. A needle or metering valve is not designed to drop the pressure from your CO2 regulator down to a working pressure. This is the job of the CO2 regulator itself. The needle valve`s sole purpose is to regulate CO2 flow precisely. Equipping your existing CO2 regulator with a needle or metering valve may not provide you with adequate fine-adjustment for a calcium reactor. These valves are fragile and be easily damaged if not hooked up to the proper regulator. Our Deluxe CO2 Systems already include a Precision Needle Valve which enable as low 6 bubbles / minute (NOT second).

Great needle valve

its super compact and ease to use. I got it to attach to my redsea regulator. Needed some tape around the threading to make an airtight connection. Other than that the valve has been working great. I can accurately control the flow. Currently using it on a 8.5 gal tank so need a slower bubble rate~1 bubble/ sec. Will definitely buy it again, if needed.

Needle valve

Needle valve is not consistent and I find myself adjusting it continuously.

Still super sensitive

I was hoping this would be VERY granular for adjustment, but in the end it's still extremely sensitive. Trying to adjust from 40 bubbles a minute to 30 is quite difficult, and anything more granular than a 10 bbl/min adjustment seems unlikely. I'm still glad I got it as I do have more control than I previously did, but in general it wasn't exactly what I had hoped for.

Not Bad

Works as describe with minimal effort to install. I did find the packaging a little substandard but the needle valve is very precise.

Great Replacement!!

Seemed a bit too sensitive at first, but once I had it locked at the proper adjustment, the volume hasn't deviated at all. Compared to the factory needle on my regulator, this unit is a treasure!!

Needle Valve

The valve takes a little fine adjusting. After that it maintains-so all in all it's a very good valve. This is my first needle valve so I can not compare to other valves.
