This diet contains fresh unprocessed crustaceans, plankton, sponges and a great amount of different types of filamentous marine algae, that Pygmy Angel, as grazers require.
Algae protein of 85% gets digested and assimilated. The presence of more than 13 carotenoids promotes the color quality of the fish. This diet gives a unique content of all essential amino acids, a superior standard of polyunsaturated fatty acids and proteins, essential vitamins and minerals.
The specific sponge species that we use in this diet are nontoxic and non-defensive species. The inclusion rate of sponge in this formula at present is the highest amongst all formulas and diets.
The nutritional property of frozen Pygmy Angel Formula satisfies adult and juvenile fish both with 95% digestibility and allows the fish to metabolize all of the benefits of the food.
A special binder of a marine origin with the very low concentration is fully digestible. The trace particles of the binder dissolve fully without causing pollution or harm to the fish and aquatic system.
It has a high biological affinity to aquatic animals. It is a unique hydrocolloid system that we have found in a certain concentration, keeps our frozen product from collapsing in the aquarium, but is easily consumed by fish. Because of specific ionic bonds between the ingredients, the flavor of the food is enhanced attracting many different fish species. Melting and gelling temperature of the formula is low, which makes it adventitious for various warm and cold water species.
Ocean Nutrition`s frozen gel diets have been designed to maximize the presence of natural unprocessed intact ingredients and minimize the presence of gel binders, the purpose of which is to bind ingredients and add a specific pattern of amino acids that are highly digestible and synergic with aquatic organisms, therefore it is not recommended to thaw or heat our frozen formula diets for feeding, just drop the cube in the aquarium.

Yes, I would recommend this.
My new Flame Angel loves this stuff! It prefers it too enriched brine shrimp, Mysis, and the other foods the rest of the gang prefer. The product stays in small clumps after it's thawed in water, but the angel just attacks it, rips it into smaller pieces and inhales it! The rest of the crew aren't that interested. Thanks for the great product, J
