Frozen foods are delivered 1-3 business days from the day your order ships. Frozen foods are shipped every Monday and Tuesday. Shipping cut-off is Tuesday at 10 am PST (1 pm EST). Orders received after 10 am PST on Tuesday will be shipped the following week. Shipping and handling is a $19.99 flat-rate charge so you can order as much or as little as you like.
Orders not shipped within the contiguous United States—the 48 U.S. states on the North American continent south of Canada plus the District of Columbia—are considered international orders. International orders are not eligible for Marine Depot’s free shipping promotions and additional surcharges may apply. The CoralCare Gen2 Controller is designed for use with the CoralCare Gen2 LED Fixture. It includes two operating modes, direct control, and an acclimatization phase to better suit your individual tank setup and needs. The controller` also features a power backup to keep your tank`s lighting schedule running for up to 48 hours after power loss or interruption, providing more safety to your tank inhabitants in the event of an outage.
Easy to Control
The controller includes a USB cable, universal power adapter, and regional plug adapters. The USB cable is used for supplying power to the controller (in combination with the power adapted) when it is working as a stand-alone unity, but it can also be used to connect the controller to a PC for programming.
With the new generation, the CoralCare fixtures can also be programmed and controlled wirelessly via the CoralCare appl.
The CoralCare Gen2 controller is backwards compatible with the CoralCare Gen1 fixtures, and it can control up to 4 CoralCare fixtures of the same generation at a time.
Choose Between Two Different Modes
The controller supports two modes: Program Mode & 0-10V Mode.
Program Mode gives you the ability to define a 24h light schedule that can be programmed using a PC application or mobile application. You can define 20 individual light settings (color point and intensity) and the controller will automatically calculate a smooth transition between the various light settings. You wont have to worry about the settings of each individual LED channel, only the overall color tone and intensity of the light, and the controller will to the rest of the work for you. This drastically simplifies the definition of the light schedule. It also means that you do not have to worry about the “correct” light spectrum. Philips has introduced spectral boundaries to prevent incorrect spectral content from being selected, which could harm the health of the coral.
Program Mode comes with a few predefined schedules which also still allow you to adjust time, color, and intensities to suit your needs:
Shallow Reef: mimics the natural behavior of sunlight at shallow water depth and maximizes light output
Natural Reef: mimics the natural behavior of sunlight at average depth. Ideal for a mixed reef
Deep Reef: mimics the natural behavior of sunlight at deep ocean depths. Ideal to highlight the fluorescence of LPS corals
Overcast Reef: mimics the natural behavior of sunlight while simulating an overcast sky during noon. Maintains a more constant light output over the day while changing color point
Program Mode also gives you the ability to define a new 24-hour light schedule, which can be saved to 1 of the 2 custom schedules and shared with fellow reefers via the app or via a text file on your PC.
0-10V Mode allows the CoralCare controller to be directly controlled by a 3rd party interface, including Profilux and Apex.
Direct Control
Direct control allows you to overrule the running schedule and make immediate changes to the light settings, for example when quickly checking on your reef inhabitants during the night. You can save your direct control settings to one of the four presets.
Demo and Live Mode
The CoralCare interface and controller support a demo and live mode. The Live Mode can be activated with the CoralCare app or when the controller is connected to a PC. Each setting stored in the user interface can be transferred directly to CoralCare fixtures to see how it would look in your reef tank. It is not mandatory to program the controller with all fixtures connected.
In Demo Mode you can preview a 24h schedule with a 2 min sped-up demonstration. During this demonstration the light schedule will be sent to the fixture.
Acclimatization Phase
When installing new CoralCare fixtures or when adding new corals, it is wise to gradually increase the intensity of your schedule. The acclimatization phase allows you to define the number of days during which you want the intensity to increase slowly to the level that you have predefined.
Power Backup
When the power supply to the controller is interrupted, the time schedule will be retained for a maximum of 48 hours, allowing you a buffer window of time to return to your setup and reprogram the controller in the event of a power outage.
The controller also supports daylight saving time so it will keep running correctly in all regions throughout the year.
