Poor quality, not intended for aquarium use

The tongs will not close all the way unless the rod is fully extended, and even then it has very weak grip strength. I would not trust this with moving things around in my aquarium where fish or anything else is present. The packaging for this item indicates that the intended use is to increase reach distance.

Waste of money

Pros: empties your wallet

Cons: Does not work, waste of money

Basically cheap tongs that have a horrible mechanism for grip. It actually closes all the way about half the time and when it does it literally cannot pick up anything.
I am surprised that anyone still sells it

Cheap product that does not work

Pros: NONE.

Cons: Is has a poor grip mechanism that will not hold much pressure at all. And when it does seem to hold something long enough to actually pick it up if feels like it will all of a sudden lose grip. I ended up using it to move things at the bottom of the tank by pushing them around. Pathetic and way over-priced for what it does and how it's made.

This is very expensive, cheaply made product that barely works don't waste your money. Is ahs a poor grip mechanism that will not hold much pressure at all

Only works fully extended

After a few uses, it will only work if it is fully extended. I suspect the problem is that either salt residue or a rusted internal part is the problem. When I checked the manufacturer's web page, they don't mention using for aquarium use, but the plastic (non-extendable) models are.

Not great

I found these to be pretty useless after using them for a few weeks in a saltwater tank. I think you need to thoroughly rinse them after each and every use or the salt buildup renders them useless and they stop working.

PikStik TelescoPik

I like the long reach of these tongs, but they are not as strong as I had hoped for moving pots around the bottom of my pond. They are helpful in moving my koi kastles and picking up small debris fromt the bottom of the pond. I also found them useful for picking up garter snakes and relocating them to the brush across the street!
