Manufacturer information

Python Products Aquarium Supplies
Python Products knows aquarium enthusiasts would rather spend time enjoying their tanks than maintaining them. That is why they constantly strive to improve on the old methods of aquarium maintenance by adding time-wise, helpful products to their already popular product line. If you are tired of your old routine, consider Python’s “no spill clean and fill” aquarium maintenance system. You may cut your aquarium maintenance time in half with their complete, ready-to-use system: no buckets, no siphons, no mess, no tank tear downs ever again! Python ensures their products are of the highest quality FDA approved materials. Unlike garden hoses, Python’s patented systems consist of UV stabilized, non-porous tubing that eliminates the possibility of adding dangerous chemical toxins into your tank water.

still leaks

I bought 2 of these to replace my original, which began to leak after about a year of use. Both of the new ones leak in the same spot the old one does. Everything is tight, all the washers are in place, and still have a puddle by my sink from water shooting out of the top.

Python Pump

Not happy with this pump, but untill some one makes a better one it works good, problem is its made of SOFT PLASTIC, and threads strip easy and stress cracks appear around fitting areas of the pump. Thank You.

Great, while it last...

Nothing different about this faucet pump. It works but it is not a quality however for these what would be quality? It's plastic and will wear out, mine in 18 months. The part that connects to the faucet gets a alot of wear and eventually just came off!! So, when it works it works.

Plastic Parts

As much of a time saver as these devices are, the components are ultimately just plastic. To keep the siphon attachment from leaking, you have to tighten it down well and after a couple of months I discovered that the upper portion broke in half requiring a complete replacement of the unit.

works well until it breaks

This is my 4th pump in about 18 months. The pump works really well, but the material it is made out of is just cheap plastic. The piece that screws onto your faucet will eventually break after 5 or 6 uses, so buy an extra one or you'll be cursing them like i have.

python pump

I am glad to be able to get a replacement pump, but it is unfortunate that the whole pump has to be replaced when just the plastic threads get stripped where it attaches to the sink...I wish this part were metal or that just that little part could be ordered separately!

cheap soft plastic

This part works great the first few times you use it, but threading a plastic part onto a metal fitting, it won't take long before the cheap plastic threads strip off and you have to buy another one of these. After all these years, it's a real crime that Python hasn't remedied this shortcoming in their otherwise very useful product. This part really ought to have brass threads to make it last more than a year.
