Red Sea Coral Pro Salt is a specialty salt mix formulated for today’s advanced reef aquariums. A scientifically formulated marine salt is based on using pure water. This is a necessary to accurately calculate all the elements required to recreate tropical seawater. It is the best way to create a baseline salt formulation that most precisely mirrors the reef environment.
Research laboratories and professional aquaculture facilities often use ultra-pure reverse osmosis and deionized mineral-free water for mixing saltwater. Reef aquarists using RO or RO/DI can have this same level of “saltwater perfection” with Red Sea Coral Pro Salt.
Coral Pro Salt is intended to stimulate growth of SPS and LPS corals in aquariums and frag tanks. The coral-building process of calcification demands adequate levels of Foundation Elements: calcium, magnesium and bio-available carbonates. Coral Pro Salt contains the levels of foundation elements and trace elements necessary for coral growth in your aquarium.

How many gallons can i make with 1 bucket of pro salt . I have a 30 gallon tank
The larger bucket will make 160 gallons of saltwater and the smaller bucket will make 55 gallons.

I recent bought a 60 gallon water container to store salt water. I cleaned it out with bleach water prior to my first mix. I mixed the recommended salt amount per gallons and placed my heater and power head inside. After about 24 hours I had a white film on the walls of my container that never desolved have anyone had problem with the salt not desolve all the way

This is why they tell you to use the water within 4 hours of mixing. The white substance you are seeing is the calcium precipitating out of the saltwater. Once precipitated, It will never dissolve and is a pain to clean up. While I have never used this particular brand of salt. I have experienced this issue with many brands of salt mix as I also like to store and mix salt water for several days before using. I now use Tropic Marin Reef Pro and do not have this issue.

This is a great salt mix. It mixes clear within 15-20 minutes. I've never seen it cloud even after 2+ hours of aeration with a return pump and I've never had any leftover residue in my mixing containers.

The only thing I would be aware of is the elevated levels of alkalinity in this salt. Most salt mixes are between 7-9 dKH, but this salt mixes at 10-12 dKH. The higher alkalinity is great for accelerated coral growth, but you need to be prepared to maintain those elevated levels with consistent dosing. I failed to be consistent with my dosing and lost all but one of my SPS corals. Once I started losing corals, I started testing alkalinity daily and noticed swings between 8 and 11 dKH over the course of a few days. I have since switched to the regular Red Sea salt which mixes between 7-8 dKH and has been much easier to maintain consistency.Hide

This salt has everything you need to keep a reef tank. I do 25% water changes every week on my 13.5 gallon and I never have to supplement for any trace elements, etc. I do feed corals red sea coral super food but that's it. Tank also has two clownfish.
If you're looking to run a high alkalinity aquarium this salt works very well. Composition seems to be consistant from one bucket to the next. As with all salt be sure to mix the salt around in the bucket before use.
