Flow Restrictors for RO Systems

The RO flow restrictor is a small catheter tube that is hidden inside the waster water line, or inside the flush valve kit if you have one. The flow restrictor, rated in gallons per day (GPD), provides resistance that forces the right amount of water through the membrane. So, be sure the flow restrictor matches the membrane speed. We recommend reverse osmosis flow restrictor replacement whenever the RO membrane is replaced.

RO flow restrictor installation is easy. First, take off the waste water line and remove flow restrictor by gently pulling the restrictor out. Then, insert the new flow restrictor.
