In Stock

Rally Pro is a very effective broad spectrum treatment designed to be used directly in the display tank to eliminate external parasites, dinoflagellates, marine velvet, clownfish disease, gill flukes, etc. on fish. Rally Pro also treats gram negative bacterial infections, fin and tail rot, etc., and prevents secondary infections.

  • Safe for all fish (including scaleless), corals and invertebrates
  • Will not affect biofiltration

Directions and Use guidelines:

  • Saltwater dosage = 1 oz. per 10 gallons
  • Freshwater dosage = 1 oz. per 5 gallons
  • Apply RALLY once per day for at least 3 days after turning off skimmers, sterilizers and removing carbon filtration, and for 3 to 4 days after last dose
  • Longer treatment periods may be required for heavy or persistent infections
  • 1 liter will treat a freshwater 100 gallon tank or a marine 200 gallon tank for the full 3 dosage regimen

Ruby Reef recommends using Kick-Ich Pro with Rally Pro. As many organisms can be misdiagnosed as ich, Rally Pro will eliminate external parasites, Marine Velvet, Dinoflagellates, Clownfish Disease, Gill Flukes and gram negative bacterial infections like fin rot and tail rot. Rally Pro helps with secondary infections if the ich parasite was able to bore into the flesh of its victim/s. Rally Pro is reef-safe too!

This product can save your fish!

Pros: Effective against broad range of marine pathogens, gentle on fish and inverts. Can be used with praziquantall

Cons: Full or extended dosing regimens are relatively expensive

I’m an advanced reef keeper with 40 years of experience with marine pathogens and am pretty handy with a microscope. I cross contaminated my 300 gallon FOWLER+ set up with a nori clip from a quarantine tank holding new marine angelfish 2 1/2 years ago introducing an apparently immortal species of capsalid monogean (egg laying, dimorphic fluke), suspected from China sea. While I am able to keep the fluke population densities below lethal levels via a 55 watt UV, any weakening of the output (aged bulb, fogged quartz sleeve) results in a spike in densities. As there are no external symptoms prior to rapid respiration and loss of appetite which leads to death in only 2 or 3 days, immediate intervention is required while the uv sterilization gets back up to speed. The Ruby Reef Hydroplex bath is far superior to both freshwater only dips and formalin / malachite green baths. I have found Ruby Reef Rally and Kick Ick provide immediate relief to the less critical fish as evidenced by increased color, appetite and activity. I suspect that kick ick and Rally are effective against some of the early life cycle stages of the parasite, which are very similar to ciliated parasites and possibly the young adult and juvenile stages. I have seen that praziquantel is effective against young adult flukes. I suspect that the adult flukes are pretty much impervious to all but organophosphates, so cleaner gobies, shrimp and wrasses can help with them.

I have found Rally, Kick Ick and hydroplex to be at least as effective as more traditional treatments and far more gentle on the fish. I’ve seen no detrimental impact on my limited inverts (shrimp, snails, anemones).

Cost for treatment regimen is higher than some at about $.075/ gallon. So, there goes another $225 for me. (Rally + Kick Ick)

PS: no question my female black percula clown would not be alive today if I had not immediately put her into a 12 minute Hydroplex bath and treated tank with Rally / Kick Ick. She was barely swimming and respiring at 200 bpm. Was back to eating in 2 days and doing very well at day 4.

Pros: None

Cons: Kills your tank.

Do not buy this product. I follow it to the "T" and lost everything in my tank. It’s not reed safe at all. I never leave bad reviews. But I had to let people know. Please please just take the time to take your fish out of your tank an quarantining to treat them with anything.

Great product for when you have to treat fish in a reef tank

Pros: Works to treat fish disease in reef tank

Cons: Puts some stress on corals - especially SPS

I've used this, along with Kick Ich, for 2 disease outbreaks in my reef tank. With all the rock and coral, I can't catch and quarantine all of my fish. I also can't treat with copper with coral and other inverts in my tank. I've gotta say that it stresses the corals a bit, especially the SPS corals, but they've survived, and there's really nothing else that will work in this situation.
