Nice stuff

Pros: Brine shrimp, nutritious

Cons: Big chunks, needs to be soaked or will float on water

Got this as a freebee on one of my orders. Figured I would start tossing some in here and there to see how the fish like it. The fish seem to love it. I feed a variety of pellets and frozen, so the fish easily took to this as well.

It comes in large chunks of freeze dried brine. You have to break them up unless you have a large tank with lots of fish. Its not horrible to crumble up the chunks, but kind of a pain if you are short on time. They do tend to float on top of the water unless you soak them in a cup prior to feeding.

Overall 4 stars, and a nice treat here and there for my fish.

An ok product

Pros: Fish LOVE it

Cons: Pain in the neck, has to be broken up underwater

The fish LOVE it, just a pain to break up and you have to break it up or it floats on the top of the water

Not what I expected

First of all, I love SF Bay products and believe they have very good frozen foods. However, this product did not live up to my expectations. The reason I purchased this product was to have a brine shrimp alternative to live or frozen food. I needed brine shrimp (for my Butterflys)that I can put in a fish feeder and dose while I was away. Instead of whole brine shrimp, this product was a powered mess. Plus, no matter how long I let it sit in water, the product still floated. So, the freeze dried food never hydrated. My fish also were disinterested and would not touch it.
