STAXâ„¢ is porous natural oolitic limestone rock cut flat on both sides for building layered aquascapes in marine or freshwater aquariums. Provides a stable structure and limitless creative fun! Avoid introducing pests and create the aquascape of your dreams. Use with STIXâ„¢ cement to make open, gravity defying structures with lots of horizontal surfaces for attaching live corals. Use AquaStik or CorAffix with STAX to create a base for coral frags. Available in 3 package sizes: 5 lb, 20 lb, and 40 lb. Each box contains an assortment of rock sizes.
Please Note:
Rock is weighed before shipment, containing 20 lbs or more. However, depending on rock size, density, original moisture content, etc. the total weight after delivery may be less in some cases.
Each box will contain a variety of rocks of different sizes and shapes.
We are unable to take any special requests for rocks of a particular dimension or size.
Due to the fragile nature of this rock, it is possible for the rock to break during shipment. We do our best to package the rock sufficiently to minimize damages. As UPS does not consider this item insurable, we are unable to replace or refund damaged pieces. It is possible to attach multiple pieces together using aquarium epoxy in order to make large shelves or repair damaged rock.

AquaMaxx reefwelder is a very strong contender for connecting dry rocks. The sandwich method is also great for this using epoxy putty and super glue gel: rock + superglue + epoxyputty + superglue + rock.
PROS
Stack to create your perfect rockscape, not just some random, irregular dry rock. Flat surfaces for easy gluing as well as coral placement.
CONS
none
REVIEW
Got these delivered yesterday and they're exactly how they are advertised. Got 3 big base pieces, approximately 8 - 10 wide and an assortment of small to medium size pieces. You can get creative with these rocks, perfect surface for mounting frags on. Very satisfied with this product.

PROS
Stacks easily, lots of different sizes and shapes
CONS
White color means it takes a while to get that aged look, dusty
REVIEW
The rock is great, it stacks very easily and came with plenty of large rocks, and plenty of small rocks . It is for sure a bit dusty and needs some washing before epoxying.
CONS
They’re broken into pieces and not easily stacked. Being told to glue rocks together to make it work
REVIEW
Rocks arrived broken and smashed into little bits. Contacted customer support and was told hopefully they’re useable and can be glued together. Paid a premium price for a specific product and received damaged goods. Better off just glueing rocks together from your Lfs for half the price.
I would give this product a Five stars ratings if my boxes didn't arrived with broken pieces of rock. PROS
Super easy to work with and a variety of sizes and shapes to build with.
CONS
There was some breakage during shipping as there was very minimal packing material used. Some rubble is the result but not a lot. Could have been packaged better though.

Just received a 20lb box of the Stax Rock. I’m planning to use it as a substrate for a IM Lagoon 50 and so far the pieces I got seem to fit really well. I don’t want to use sand because it will get blown around too much with lots of flow in this shallow tank and I don’t like the bare bottom look. I’m considering getting more for the back wall and to build some of the rockscape. It stacks super easy as you would imagine since this product is cut completely flat on both sides. I made a mock scape in less than 5 minutes that looked pretty good. There doesn’t seem to be a limit to what you can build just by stacking the pieces in different ways. I’m looking forward to seeing what else I can do with it.Hide
