Stax Rock Flat Aquascaping Rocks by Two Little Fishies - 40 LBS

STAX™ is porous natural oolitic limestone rock cut flat on both sides for building layered aquascapes in marine or freshwater aquariums. Provides a stable structure and limitless creative fun! Avoid introducing pests and create the aquascape of your dreams. Use with STIX™ cement to make open, gravity defying structures with lots of horizontal surfaces for attaching live corals. Use AquaStik or CorAffix with STAX to create a base for coral frags. Available in 3 package sizes: 5 lb, 20 lb, and 40 lb. Each box contains an assortment of rock sizes.

Please Note:

  • Rock is weighed before shipment, however, depending on rock size, density, original moisture content, etc. the total weight after delivery may be less in some cases.
  • Each box will contain a variety of rocks of different sizes and shapes.
  • We are unable to take any special requests for rocks of a particular dimension or size.
  • Due to the fragile nature of this rock, it is possible for the rock to break during shipment. We do our best to package the rock sufficiently to minimize damages. As UPS does not consider this item insurable, we are unable to replace or refund damaged pieces. It is possible to attach multiple pieces together using aquarium epoxy in order to make large shelves or repair damaged rock.

Waste of Money

Pros: none

Cons: need more space

I bought two 20# boxes,, out of the two boxes, I got a total of 7 pieces not broken , box has no packaging in it,, just no way you can ship this without packaging,,save your money, buy the $3 a pound rock and bust it up yourself.,, my overall rating is no stars ,,

Nice flat rock

This is some cool stuff... very unique way to aquascape! Even though the packaging from TLFs isn’t the best, mine arrived with minimal damage or rubble as others have noted.

Cool rock!

Pros: Cool rock!

Cons: Could be packaged better

I was a bit scared to order since others said it came completely broken and smashed into rubble. I ordered the 40lb box, which ended up shipping as two of the 20lb boxes. I agree, the packaging is terrible. And this is no fault of Marine Depot, as the rock comes in the STAX rocks manufacturer box. It’s just a cardboard box with some brown paper. Considering this is just Marco Rocks which have been cut, I’d expect better packaging since Marco Rocks come very securely packaged. However, I don’t think I was dissatisfied with the amount of small rock vs large pieces that I received... once laid out, it was a pretty uniform assortment of sizes between the two rocks, with minimal rubble in each box. Maybe it’s because I only live 1.5 hours away from Marine Depot so it wasn’t in transit very long... either way, I’d definitely order it again, and it’s super fun to stack and play with... I still haven’t decided on a scape!

Rubble

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Overpriced box of rubble.

After seeing the packaging of paper and not bubble wrap, I’m not surprised it was a box of rubble. Nothing like the pictures...
