Works Intermittently

Pros: Quiet.

Cons: Malfunctions

I only had this for a week before it stopped working. At first it would take a few seconds then turn on, after that I would have to tap it to get it to work, now it just Intermittently works when it wants. I finally gave up on it and started using a different pump. Perhaps I just got a defective one and for all I know it may be a great little pump.

Got one use out of it

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Breaks fast

I bought this powerhead to mix my saltwater. I got one use out of it, and it has not worked since. I plugged it in and read over the manual to see if there was anything I could do, and there wasn't. Luckily it didn't cost too much.

Perfect size to replace MN 404 Mini Jet

Pros: Small size, runs in a little over an inch of water depth, quiet operation.

My 23yr old water fountain pump (which lasted so long only because of distilled H2O) finally died and is no longer made. This tiny Rio pump is an almost exact match and fit perfectly in a very tiny copper base. Runs quietly And is just the right GPM for this small metal and rock sculpture. Very knowledgable Customer service rep knew this was my only choice. Thanks Marine Depot!

Pump didn't even last one year. 10 months to be exact. Worst of all it only has 6 months warranty.

Great product at a good price

I had used Rio for my return pump in my last set up, and really liked it. Just got the 2100 for the return pump in my new tank and the 800 for my calcium reactor. For the price you can't really beat it. They run forever and don't make a lot of noise.
