Tunze Turbelle Stream 6065 Pump (6065.000)

The innovative motor based on the eco-energetic concept and the newly developed pump technology ensures a very high efficiency at very low maintenance and power consumption.

Very Silent Run
Special plastic bearings, a titanium-alloy axle and silicone absorbers enable a very silent run without wear which applies for smaller models as well as for the powerful pumps

Large Suction Area
The water which is drawn in passed through a giant intake strainer, and thus prevents premature soiling.

Magnet Holder - A Standard Feature
As a standard feature, Turbelle® stream® is supplied with a magnetic holder, which enables uncomplicated attachment at any position on the aquarium pane.

Flexible adaptation
The ball-type design is an intelligent solution for installation with a minimum of hydraulic losses. Contrary to other pumps, they offer a lot of flexibility with respect to positioning and orientation of the water beam, which can be adjusted in such a way that an effective flow is produced over a long distance in the aquarium at lower power consumption.

Energy efficient
Eco-energetic and extremely silent Hardly any other components have experienced similar progress in aquarium engineering in the past few years as the circulation pump. The new Turbelle® stream 2 is a very compact screw pump with a wellthought- out design used to circulate water in aquariums or tanks. It contains several innovative technical solutions and adapts to the aquarium without affecting the existing biotope.

Very Happy

I had 1 MP-40 on my 125 gal long. I didn't want to spend the money for another so I sold it for 2 of these with some spare change. I am very happy I got these. Nice strong gentle flow not quite as wide as the MP-40 but very strong. My fish were immediately happy. The only thing I can say I don't like is the power cord is too short. It can it easily limit placement with a long tank. I put mine on the very end and it was almost too short. They are also very silent... which is nice.

I've used other Tunze power heads in the past and they worked perfect. The 6085 starts in reverse on every startup. I ran a Hydor Koralia Evolution Circulation Power head 1400gph next to the Tunze 6085 2113gph and the Koralia feels and looks like more flow. Really disappointed in this horrible product Tunze released. Spend the extra money and get the 6105

This is my fisrt "powerful" powerhead. It's nice to replace my old 3 powerheads but if I were to do it again I would probably get the combo w the contoller and 2 powerheads. IMO it's not worth the money because it's not controllabe.

Tunze 6065

Very good quality of manufacture and engineering. I have not noticed any vibrations or noise. Magnet is strong, one time I dragged up about 4". It got harder and harder til the magnet jumped. It made a loud clack sound. For a moment I thought it might have cracked the glass. It is not a broad cone like the Excellent Hydor This moves the water in a focused channel which I feel with my hand to have opened up to a more gentle 4 or 5" cone at about 24". the current at it output is not violent, but not gentle. 24" away it is gentle and slightly turbulent. It is meant for current and moves water from a specific area a long way. The swivel head is beyond perfect. You can stop the air tornado from getting sucked down by turning one side of the u bracket up facing the surface. Fully adjustable, very solid I plan to use 2 of these and 2 larger Hydors to get the needed water flow for my 92 corner reef. They do different jobs and compliment each other perfectly. J.L.

tunze 6065

i bought two of these pumps , overall works well but very loud. the socket ball hinge is a good design but needs vibration dampening, the motor is likely more quiet.

Pretty good, but...

Flow is good and it's really quiet. The only complaint is that when it starts, it makes quite a bit of noise.(I have it set up as part of a wave maker) Other than that it's a typical example of Tunze quality.

Very Quiet

It is very quiet and moves a lot of water. I little bigger than I hoped for, but the maneuverability of the flow is excellent.

Great Pump

I just installed this pump along with a nano 6045 in my 72 gal bow front soon to be upgraded to a 140 gal rectangle. I was leerie of the Tunze's due to the reviews of the 6045 and the clips breaking. In my case I ordered the stream rocks which take the place of the clips and the magnets are not needed. The Stream rock is Much larger than the nano stream. The 6065 pushes a lot of water and doesn't compare to the 6045. The 6045 is a good pump and will prob. find a home at the rear of my 140 to move water in the rear of the aquarium. I'll definitley get another 6065 if not the 6085 for the 140. The stream rock for the 6065 is a little too big for my 72.

good flow

Pump has good flow and easy to set up. Magnet could be a little stronger for my 3/4 inch tank, but holds ok.
