Worth the money
Pros: Comes with everything you need.
Cons: You will need more biopellets for anything larger than 50 gallons.
Love this thing. Hangs on the side of my sump and is barely noticed. Love that the package comes with everything you need. Has been running for a couple of weeks now and working great.

bio reactor
Reactors design is very user friendly,I modified the install tho [pump and hoseing]to fit my 100 gal.Reactor is mounted on the outside of tank,I love to see it working.[if your tank clouds up, slow the flow down a lil bit,it will clear up,also the screen at the bottom of the reactor, i kept it up abput 2 inches from bottom plate, watch them bio's roll now!The preformance of Reactor is awsome,my fish love to get a big gulp of that good ole bio pellet cocktail water,My advice on this product, give it some time it works great. [thanks two lil fishes, awsome Reactor] jeff

Great reactor and well made and can't beat the price. The biopellets have lowered my nitrates 20ppm in 2 weeks and are almost down to zero. I highly recommend these two products to anyone thinking of using biopellets.

NPXbioplastics/Reactor 150
So far so good. Reactor with bioplastic media has been running in the tank's sump for a little over a week. The reactor was easy to set up and there was good support from the retailer and 2 little fishies for chosing an appropriate pump and setting flow. I have not tested nitrates or phosphates yet but there has been a drastic drop in cyano algae. I have had good results with vodka dosing before, this product takes away the bother of daily dosing.

WOW!!!
I have to do 2 reviews since I'll review the bioplastics separate from the reactor itself. TLF Media reactor: I give this 5 stars since it's cheap and versatile for any media you would use it for. It doesn't leak. Other reviewers wrongly review this based on the media they used, plumbing, or pump. The NPX screen fits a bit too snug after cutting but I guess you have to do it that way so that it will stay in place. Do not overcut to the next window or else it will fit too loosely. Also, do not use the sponge if you are going to use bioplastics or bio pellets. Only use the sponge for other fine media. You should use a pump with more than than 350gph for NPX media in this reactor. I used a Rio+ 1400 pump with a brass 3/4 to 1/2 barbed elbow from home depot. The rubber elbows from TLF worked fine on the reactor with no zip ties needed. The NPX media tumble was adequate with minimal sticking. NPX BioPlastics: All I can say is WOW!! 0 nitrates on the 5th day! Please note that there will be a lot of media sticking together during the first few days. Turn the pump off and on frequently to shake them loose. I have a 60 gallon overstocked and lightly planted tank with CO2 injection. 1.0025sg salinity with mixed brackish and FW fish. My ammonia and nitrite are consistently at 0ppm. The nitrates were originally 80ppm the first day, then 60ppm on the 3rd day, and then finally 0ppm on the 5th day. I guess the reduction rate is exponential. All this with no water change and no filter cleaning. I used 200ml of the media (good for 50 gals) without having any bacteria bloom. The phosphate level remained at 1ppm. Maybe because I consistently overfeed and then measure after feeding.
