Replacement UV Bulbs

Although the bulb in a UV lamp may work for years, its performance drops over time. We recommend UV bulb replacement every 9 to 12 months for optimal UV sterilizer performance. Otherwise, you may be allowing fish parasites to repopulate your fish tank.

Keep in mind that every UV sterilizer brand uses a different standard, so a 25w Aqua UV sterilizer bulb will not be compatible with a 25w Lifegard Aquatics UV sterilizer. Also, be aware that a replacement bulb for UV sterilizer may have small metal balls inside the tube, which is part of the manufacturing process and not a defect.

If you have changed the UV bulb and your sterilizer is not powering up, you may need a replacement UV lamp transformer.
