V2O Aquarium Foods Nano V Soft-Freeze Mini Mysis - 4oz

V2O Aquarium Foods Nano V Soft-Freeze Mini Mysis - 4oz

Item #: HL02322

In Stock: Frozen foods are shipped Mondays and Tuesdays

Nano V SOFT-FREEZE (NSF) is a range of frozen foods that are kept in the freezer but they never freeze hard. This means you take the food from the freezer and it is READY TO USE! SUPER CONVENIENCE in a concentrated, high quality food.

NSF foods are excellent for the small NANO aquariums because you feed a small amount food - only as much as necessary. Therefore, you don’t have to deal with a cube of food in cases where even a single cube is still too much.

Because NSF foods are kept in the freezer, they will never spoil. V2O does not have to add preservatives or acids to keep the product FRESH.

The value is there because the water is not. V2O does not add water to NSF because the water will freeze. NSF foods are more concentrated than competitors’ watery products; which are kept in the REFRIGERATOR at pH 4 for preservation.

Mini Mysis Shrimp - NSF Mini Marine Mysis shrimps (8-12 mm) are the perfect food item for seahorses, sea-dragons, and any marine fish with small mouths, since they are half the size of the freshwater Mysis. These delicate, nutritious shrimp are voraciously consumed by all species of marine aquarium fish and freshwater tropical fish as well.

Yes, I would recommend this.

my Discus and all the other fish ravage over this.

Pros: easy to feed with the spoon you get

Cons: when I first received the product it was frozen solid but after overnight it thawed out, so there really wasn't any problems

My grandson has saltwater fish and he said they really went wild over this. So it seems fresh or saltwater they all seem to like it

Very convenient, my small seahorses love it.

Pros: Convenient and fish love it

Cons: Kinda pricey

I'm raising seahorses from babies and they aren't ready for adult size shrimp but they love this nano V. I also love that I can just scoop instead of trying to shave adult frozen mysid. I am very busy so this food is great.

Not Worth the Cost

Pros: Quick and easy product to feed

Cons: Tiny shrimp size and also are broken up into crumbs. Expensive for the amount of food.

I had been wanting to try out this product ever since it's release. I have a Waspfish that is rather finicky, the Mysis must be pretty much intact, and as he is quite small he only eats 2-3 shrimp in one feeding. Trying to break off a chunk of frozen food that is big enough that the shrimp are not broken apart, while trying to thaw as little as possible so that the extra isn't wasted is darn near impossible. When I saw this new "soft freeze" line I thought it would be the perfect solution to my problem, as if the shrimp aren't frozen together I could easily pick out one or two shrimp at a time. I do have to say that at least this food is easy to grab shrimp and only using what is needed at each feeding and not having to thaw a chunk that mostly ends up wasted. The consistency is like a gel, and doesn't freeze solidly. That feature is why I gave it two stars instead of one or zero.
The main problem I have with this food is that when they say "mini Mysis" that is an over statement, the shrimp are microscopic. Also most of the shrimp are broken up into pieces and most of my other fish(who devour ever other food I give them) didn't even recognize the particles as food. It's possible that the one I got is a dud or wasn't handle properly before I got it but for me I won't be buying this anymore.
